This is really cool and I am all for doing something new. Technology available now is mind blowing.
I would however never let a drop of a glowing beer enter my body. I'm sure there are plenty of things I eat/drink that I shouldn't but no way.

The zombie apocalypse started not with a bang, but with a glowing beer... I'm sure Inbev puts much more questionable things in their beers...

One of the dumbest claims I've ever read.

Now a real breakthrough would be for the beer to glow when old, now that has 100% of my support, lol.

I would love this for taking the kids trick or treating.

I did a similar thing a few years back. I inserted the GFP gene into a yeast expression vector that included a "tag" so the yeast would secrete the protein. Put the vector into Cali Ale yeast. Similar to the results stated in the article, the yeast glowed very nicely, the beer not so much. I later discovered that the GFP protein is somewhat sensitive to ethanol, and maybe to low pH as well. Interesting in principle, but to get a truly "glow-in-the-dark" beer is going to require some tinkering.

I believe Inoculum in Florida was working on something like this as well.

Well now that we have essentially abandoned the space program, I am sure all those NASA guys who formerly worked on space ice cream, memory foam, and pens that could write upside down, could certainly get on this. The future of the country depends on it!!! But seriously, cool and fun idea.
