Hoppin' Frog makes some decent beer, and their ORIS is pretty good (oatmeal RIS). I have gotten a LetsPour email regarding the Barrel aged BORIS (Big ORIS), and it's $16. That's less than shelf price here ($18). And the DORIS (Double ORIS) is $22, which is almost $9 more than shelf price.... What's up with the mail order beer pricing, and is there some national standard for beer pricing, or is each market independent? reference... http://www.letspour.com/deals/beer/from/11498-Hoppin-Frog-Brewery
i'm not sure as i've never ordered from them but it was my understanding they don't "charge" for shipping, so it's included in the beer price? As far as it being less there.. Guess it depends the deal the store gets on it. EDIT: i looked they do charge...so who knows
Ahhh good old Hoppin' Frog and their overpricing. Never even seen a HF bomber for less than 10 bucks.
Depends where go and what people are willing to pay. You may see it on the discount shelf one day if everyone agrees with you...
Puerto Rican rum is cheaper here in Wisconsin than it was in Puerto Rico. Why? Supply/demand/profits/etc. I'd assume it's the same with beer everywhere, including online stores.
They offer free shipping with orders of 6 bottles or more (being shipped from the same place), otherwise they probably bend you over on shipping. Its worth it if there are actually 6 things that are worth getting at that time.
I think Letspour accidentally got the prices switched on D.O.R.I.S. and BA B.O.R.I.S. If you assume that, then it would be Letspour's standard markup over retail ($3-$6 from my experience).
Order 6 bottles of BORIS from Lets Pour. Pick up the DORIS in your local store. Enjoy drinking them and forget about the mystery beer prices
What actually overpricing means? As far as I know, Hoppin Frog is quite popular and they sell pretty much all they can brew?
