"I hate beer."

My word to them is... "There is a beer for everyone."

I have turned anyone that has ever came to me saying they don't like beer, but would like to.

 

I think it's great when people hate beer. They're permanent designated drivers for me.

 

You guys are lucky. I have to split literally everything I have. 375's are the bane of my existence because when you split 'em you don't get very much. If we divorce I'm sure she'll claim half the loons and Casey bottles.

 

I have a niece who does not enjoy any beers except Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. Expect for that she only drinks wine.

 

You need a secret beer cave.

 

Consider my basement a Swiss bank account for such goods, should such a service be needed.

 

A world without beer... Just doesn't exist.

 

In my experience, a majority of people who don't like beer have only BMC products and wouldn't know what good flavour in a beer was if it slapped them in the face.

There are some (and I know a few) that have tried to like beer but they just can't, which is totally fine of course. I have a friend that is really into Whisk(e)y and other fine spirits but just can't drink a beer (any beer) without forcing himself to choke it down.

Taste is such a subjective and arbitrary yet fascinating thing. I've had some incredible beers in the presence of friends and family who can't stand taking even one sip of the same stuff.

 

Haha my friends warned me my wife would go after the beer cellar even though she hated beer, and sad to say they were right. She didn't get any, though.

 

I dont really try to convert anyone. If they insist they dont like beer then whatever.

I do find when people say they dont like beer"I tried a lot of them" they mean I tried Bud, Miller, Coors and other AAL. 99% of the time they have not tried any other styles. I have told people and still tell them I can let them try beers they might like. If they say ok I will let them try a wheat, Wit or amber style. Some wine drinkers like sours. A stout seems to almost always go over well after explaining its not going to get you anymore drunk than most other beers. Many think dark is always high ABV.

End of the day it makes little difference to me. I just remember others introducing me to beers and other things in life and I am glad I had the opportunity to have someone show some interest be it beer ,fishing or Mt. Bikes or anything.

I am afraid that to some of the uninitiated, "hoppy" equates to "tastes like orange juice concentrate", which equates to "most craft beer, so I think I'll stick with the Stella"

 

My wife isnt a beer drinker per say, her idea of a beer is Arbita Purple Haze, she also likes some of the Shandys out there. But she will drink an occasional blond ale kinda thing. She's only liked one IPA and that was a NEIPA from Routine Culture, it was Boot Scoot Goofin I think.

Your individual hate does not translate into a societal norm.

 

If they like coffee, have them try beers like Sump or Speedway.

If they don't like Sump or Speedway, they are idiots and you shouldn't waste your time with them.
