How come Lagunitas doesn't distribute any stouts? Is that the case or do I only get certain beers in NC?

On a somewhat related note, the owner of the bar I work at at always calls it "La-gwown-tis." Really confusing seeing as he works with the distributors almost daily.

They do, there is a Cappuccino Stout and a Russian Imperial Stout. Somebody may need to correct me but it may be they are seasonal. I only recently saw the RIS a few weeks ago here in Texas but I have enjoyed the cappuccino for a number of years.

With a hairy eyeball in hand a brown shugga on deck it is hard for me to argue their greatness especially if you like that sweet malty super hoppy wonderfullness that is lagunitas but southern tier unearthly, bells hopslam and great lakes lake erie monster are all fantastic

If you like Brown Shugga, try Firestone Walker's Sucaba

I don't think Sucaba is very comparable to Brown Shugga at all, but it (Sucaba) is an incredible barleywine.

I need to try this again b/c I did not enjoy it when I had it last week. It's getting awesome reviews, that many people can't be wrong.

Just posting to say that I LOVE LAGUNITAS! They're my favorite widely distributed craft brewery. I have heard that some people complain that many of their beers are too similar to each other, but that's just the 'house character' that makes them so consistently good. So why complain about that?

Not to be smart, but if your into Lagunitas why look for a duplicate from another brewery? Doesn't make sense when you just get to say it tastes just like Lagunitas, which would probably be cheaper as well. Push and try new IPAs and such NE is bursting with great brews.

I love Racer 5, but I think Lagunitas is a little juicier. I do think Lagunitas puts out a good product, there's no doubt they make good beer. I'm not sure some of their higher end bombers (Lucky 13) are all _that_ different from their base product, which kind of irks me. However, in the same area is Knee Deep Brewing: Simtra IPA, Hoptologist DIPA are juicy and delicious! Their distribution contract just got transferred to DBI and they are moving to a larger facility, so they will be more easily accessible soon!

The juiciest, wettest, fruitiest IPA I've had is Abrasive, and I understand it's on par with heady and ghandi bot (correct me if I'm wrong) but I found that I actually prefer drier, more bitter, piney IPAs.

I had some Schafly TIPA the other day, delicious! I bought a 6er and am happy I did.

Also, Lagunitas is one of my favorite widely distributed crafts.
