    E-mail I received on Saturday:

    Dear Friends,
It is with much emotion that we are writing to tell you that i.m.Wine has been sold and today is our last day in the store. We have come to think of you as friends, not customers, as we've shared our lives together for the past 6 years. But we've made the decision that it is time for us to retire.

The young man who has purchased the store is energetic, personable and filled with great ideas to move the store forward. The name i.m.Wine will stay the same and continue to mean great service, quality wines, beer and spirits and to quote a line from Friends, "a place where they know your name and they're awfully glad you came."

We thank you for all the times we've spent together.

    Tom and Ellen Mendelsohn

Does anyone know anything about the new owner?

    Isn't that line from Cheers?
