Was cleaning out our pantry during a recent move and found these guys. They've been on a shelf at room temperature for more than two years. Can any of the beer experts here tell me how likely it is that these beers are ruined?
I know I'm dumb, but am I doomed?

Your best bet would be to open them up and give them a try. Hops should have faded but the beer should still be very tasty.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear. I've moved them to my basement and will probably keep them there for a while.

What a nice bonus to find! I love it when stuff like that happens. And those beers should most likely be okay, it's not like you found some pale ales or something lying around.

If your temp never exceeded room temp, (say 72-73), you should be fine. The beer has defintely changed but should not be bad. Before I built my cellar, I stored bottles in this condition for quite some time.

I recently opened some older Alaskan smoked and they were not my favorite but I actually don't like that beer all that much fresh or aged - so, while I don't like it I can tell you that it will probably still be fine.

I also just two days ago opened the Sierra Nevada Helles (is that it? The one with the green label) and I opened the one with the brown label. Both, in my opinion were better than when new! Proving yet again that there are, indeed, exceptions to my new rule that I like most things fresh rather than aged and despite my large cellar.

You should be fine with these. (And, I'm a believer that a constant temperature with wine and beer is more significant than extreme fluctuations. So, if in the same place for two years at relatively constant temperature, it's probably going to be more a function of how have they aged, rather than temperature hurting the beer).

Thanks again, everyone. The beers were on a top shelf so the temp was a consistent 69 or 70 degrees.
I'll report my findings when I open them!
