I glanced back a year plus & didn't see anything jump out at me. I'll be in Albert Lea off I-35 for a couple of days. Any decent bottle shops within a half-hour of the border where I can find some brews that don't make it to MN? Thanks.

You'd probably have to make it Mason City for anything like that. You can get Backpocket beers there, and other beers you can't get here. I know there's a Hy Vee Liquor there.

There's also Mason City Brewing in the city. Never been there, so I don't know how good they are.

You could save a few minutes more by doing the same run to a Clear Lake liquor store but would lose out on the wonderful option that is Taco Tico. Regardless,
it still would put you just outside your 30 minute time window. Clear Lake also has Lake Time Brewery if you're down there on the right day.

Otherwise, all I've got to offer is Northwood. It's a straight shot down US 65 about 20 minutes and has Worth Brewing located there. Looks like there's a liquor store with a drive through but hey, remember in Iowa grocery stores and gas stations are options too!

I ran down to Worth last time I was in the neighborhood, the beer there was very solid, & as a bonus, I got to listen to a couple of birthers/conspiracy theorists at the table next to me. All in all a nice way to spend an evening!
