Iceland Beers

    I have a buddy headed to Reykjavik in the middle of June. Are there any much check out places for him? Any bottle shops where he can find great beers?

    Well there are no bottle shops, since alcohol is only sold by the state monopoly.

    However, there are a few places where you can find great beer, both on tap and bottles.

    I'd recommend starting with Skúli craft bar, Micro bar and Mikkeller and friends Reykjavik, all situated within walkings distance from each other in downtown Reykjavik.

    All three have a great selection of beers, tap and bottle.
