Is Idle Hands still in same location? I had their dubbel a year ago it was true to style and good. Just picked up a saison in a 16.2oz bottle. When did they go to the smaller format? Also anyone know more about this brewery in lieu of Night Shift move?

Someone probably knows better than I, but I think they were going to move into Night Shift's space now that NS is out. Also, in the last year the former Enlightenment Ales guy was hired to be the head brewer for Idle Hands, so they're producing the Enlightenment stuff there as well

Hi Guys -- We're still in our old space in Everett despite all of the construction that is happening around us. Don't be deterred if you're coming to visit us -- there is beer at the end of the mayhem. Most of the heavy construction should be wrapping up in the next month or so and driving to the brewery will start to resemble something other than a construction/war zone soon. Heck, I saw them pouring sidewalks today, so that's gotta be a good sign, right?

We've been putting out a few beers in the 500ml format... mostly our German-inspired lagers but I wanted to play around with that format for some of our other beers too so we produced a very limited number of cases of Cotton (36 to be exact) to see how it would be received in the market. Thanks MVP09 for noticing!

Dude the "song of myself" was a world class beer. Right up there with the best. Is that ever going to be brewed again?!!

Funny that you mention that... we too thought it was a very good example of a juicy pale ale but for whatever reason it didn't really catch on or resonate with consumers and we had a difficult time selling what should have been a beer that evaporated. Maybe there are too many of those type of beers in the market now? I don't know. We don't have any immediate plans to brew Song again but do have plans to brew a small batch of a double IPA in the coming weeks and release it under the Enlightenment Ales brand. So stay tuned hop addicts!

Awesome I will give Cotton a try tonight. So good to see more MA breweries making great beer. I picked up all MA stuff at CBC yesterday. MA Brewers are making ME and VT trips unnecessary!

To be honest, I just don't think the local Boston clientele have enough exposure to the "new england/Vermont" style caramel malt hop bombs...so they just didn't realize how amazing the song of myself was...because they're not used to drinking them? Despite all of the breweries in Boston and MA in general, I don't see many good examples of world class dipa/ipa's.

Yes I'm serious, of course there are some that are available but not to the degree in which other cities have them. I am talking about the Boston area specifically. Just because somebody is selling an IPA doesn't mean its on the same level as song of myself, and other New England area IPA/dipa.

If you give me a list of ipa's from boston I should try, I'll do it and eat crow if I am wrong. I'll buy you a beer too.

Wasn't trying to piss people off.

Well OK. I guess Trillium isn't any good? It's in Boston proper. They've made 5 or 6 amazing IPAs. And you did say "MA in general". Not looking for a nuclear argument. Just suggesting you haven't tried enough MA beers. And plenty of MA beer drinkers are very familiar with VT beers. And lastly, I've never heard anyone say VT IPAs are full of caramel malt character. If anything, VT IPAs are predominately made with pale malts and have very little caramel malt character. Again, not looking for a fight - I'm just trying to sort out your comments.
