I'd like it to be brewed by a craft brewery again.

And with a swirly necked bottle--because we all "know" how that improves the pour.:stuck_out_tongue:

I would love to see more Cabernet aging. Ive had 2 (Heavy Seas Barleywine and Consecration), and both have been just stunning. the sweet and dry characteristics of Cabernet have so much to lend to beer. Most of the dry Italian wines have loads to give to beer, yet they just dont do it.

Agreed. I was so hyped to see it as one of the guest taps. It was damn good!

With Juliet and Lolita both being aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels it seems like they would at least give this a shot, unless there is a fear of infection? Sounds delicious though.

While it wasn't Cabernet, Goose used Merlot barrels (and b. Brux) for their Napa County Stout at Stout Fest 2012. It is safe to say that GI is at least experimenting with red wine barrels with their base for BCBS.

Since lots of BA seem to enjoy beers with intense, extreme aromas, how about a coconut/chocolate/asparagus stout, double barrel-aged and with a touch of caramel for more cloying sweetness. Now 33% more cloying!

Would be interested to see a port barrel aged variant. I'm a bit of a port fan yet I've never had a port barrel aged beer, frankly not sure if it would work. But the folks at GI have proven they know their way around a barrel room so I figure if anyone should try this might as well be them.
