...which one would you buy? Would you opt not to take a risk and just try one of the ones you have already tried, like standard, coffee or barleywine? Or would you shell out for the new ones?

I think I would go for barleywine. As much as I seriously want to try Vanilla Rye, I'm guessing a single 22oz bottle will be in the range of $20-$25. I can get four bottles of BCBB for that price, and I already know it is delicious.

I've had the standard and barley wine, I love coffee stouts, so I think this one would be outstanding

Proprietor's so I don't have to trade or go to Chicago for it.

If you limit it to stuff available in your state, Vanilla Rye.

Gotta go with coffee. Just always great and doesn't have the same boozi-ness that i get from fresh bcbs.

Having the glorious opportunity to try all of them, Vanilla is on my radar. Having a few of each variant from last year makes the decision slightly easier and from what I've heard/read/seen...coffee is gonna be spread pretty thin throughout southern WI. One bottle limits at every store that I'm aware of anyways.

Proprietors...then Vanilla Rye since Ive never had either. Although regular BCBS after a year of aging is one of my all time favorites, so that would be tough to pass up. Will be in Chicago for Thanksgiving and at Timothy O'Tooles on Saturday for some college football so I may have a chance to try them all if they don't run out Friday night!

All top-notch stuff. The barleywine is superior to the coffee, IMO.

Proprietors but Vanilla is a close second. Picked up two 4 packs of BCBS 2014 yesterday, and still have 4 of last years In the cellar. Also have a 4 pack of coffee from last year in the cellar. Still waiting for coffee to show up here.

I've had the standard and the BW last year and I definitely like the BW more, so I'd have to go with that one. Though I'd certainly love to try the other three.

I love love love regular BCBS; it's the BA stout by which I judge all others. And BCBBW is fantastic (I prefer Abacus, but that's just me).

But Vanilla? I've never tried it. If I had to pick just one, I have to go there.

I'm not a coconut fan so last years Prop wasn't as amazing for me as it was for others but the 2014 Prop I had at FOBAB was insanely good and better than the Vanilla. Still I love Vanilla and would pick that one.

Had em all at FoBAB, nothing beats 14 prop. So much better than 13.

This is exactly my opinion. I do not like the regular at all. The coffee was tied for my favorite beer of the year. The one I tried was the 2013 version 1 year aged.

Vanilla Rye! This year's Prop doesn't sound good at all to me.

Have to go Barleywine, but only because I have never had it and I'm usually a real pushover when it comes to that style.

BCBBW. After I tasted the number 3 of the top 250 on this site (and being disappointed), I have a notion that I will be disappointed in the rest of the Bourbon County line-up. That Barley Wine though....

I have to go with the vanilla rye. The description alone makes standing in line outside in November seem worth it.

I enjoy BCBCS but I legitimately have never understood why it is so much more acclaimed than the regular stout. It's been that way since they debuted it in 2010. As I noted in my blog, the coffee addition obliterates the aroma and significantly overpowers the base flavors of whiskey, chocolate and molasses. Honestly, were it not for the identical texture I don't think I would identify it as a Bourbon County variant if blindfolded. I mean, it's been a few years but I remember Bourbon County Cherry Rye more closely resembling regular BCBS and it had frigging fruit added to it.
