Jeezus. It's like choosing which child to sell.

On the one hand, BCBBW is just an amazing, peerless brew. I've not had any quite like it. But on the other hand, the two 22 oz variants (Vanilla Rye and Prop) sound like they were composed specifically for my enjoyment. A vanilla bean stout aged in rye whiskey barrels and one with coconut water, cassia bark, cacao nibs and panela both sound indescribably amazing.

And that's without getting into the coffee and regular, which are both fantastic beers.

I'd probably have to flip a coin on Vanilla or Prop, partly because I've never had either, but mostly because I've never had either AND they sound amazeballs.

Edit: after some soul searching, I picked Prop because I'm a cinnamon freak.

Single bottles are supposedly being increased to about $26.99 plus taxes, or like $30 each. So if you find any around $20, buy it all!

That's what I thought until I tried them both at FOBAB. Prop by a mile.

Barleywine was a huge surprise last year. Smoothest BW I've had and you can't beat the price on a 4 pack.

I have yet to try any of the series yet but I would pick Bourbon County Brand Stout (regular)

Barleywine is the most functional for me, as I can't think of a BA-barleywine in 4-packs period, much less many that stack up with GI's version. BCBS is probably next, again because 4-packs of BA stouts of that quality aren't as easy to come by.

I'm interested to try Vanilla Rye, because 2010 BCBVS, though totally tasty, veered a little too thickly sweet for me. Re: BCBCS, I still don't get the hype. I enjoy it, don't get me wrong, but I don't know that it improves the base stout in any way, and might very well detract from it.

Going to an even to try them all tomorrow, so I suppose I'll have to report back with fresh findings.

Go for the big one, the Proprietors Reserve.

This is, of course assuming that it isn't all gone before I even get to the store.

Prop since it's the hardest one to get.
