My wife and I are in town for a very short period of time and would like to visit one brewery in Vancouver. If you could visit only one which would you choose?

    Cheers

Central City Brewing and Distillery in Surrey would be my bet, would love to get my hands on some fresh off the press Red Racer!

Wouldn't bother with a brewery at all, would go to the Albi Room for a nice dinner and Nigel's selection of the best BC and global breweries on tap.

I can't help you with Vancouver. However, this sounds like good advice to me.

If you can get out there, Four Winds. If it's too far, hmm... Strangefellows or Brassneck would be my pick, depending on what's currently pouring.

Would vote against Central City - as delicious as fresh Red Racer is their cans are crazy fresh all over town and dated on the base, you can find 1-2 week old 6 packs pretty much all over.

    Thanks for the tips
We hit up Alibi last night, what a great place. I think we're going to try Brassneck and 33 Acres tomorrow.

    Cheers

Granville Island is a cool spot located near downtown- their beer pleases, and it is a very popular place with good food and views.

Not to mention that Surrey is quite a way outside of Vancouver. Has their brewpub opened yet?

Was going to put in a vote for Brassneck. Good combo of beer and atmosphere, very "Vancouvery". Hope you enjoyed it

Too late for this poster, but for future queries I would echo Brassneck as my choice, with SF a close second. Depends a bit on what's available at a given time.

Otherwise, I always point people to St Augustine's for food + drink.
