I'm sure I could find something in my home inventory for one of those BA GBS. BM me and maybe we can work out a trade.

Right now Begyle just does growler fills and bottles to go...not an official taproom in that sense. The rest of the list is idea for an out of towner!

My guess is the original poster has already been to Chicago but I don't get why people never mention Fountainhead as a really good place to sample beers. Just because Brew Dogs tv show or some fancy magazine didn't list it? To me they have one of the most interesting collections of draft beer and a very comprehensive list of bottled beers. Their chef routinely makes collaborative beers with local breweries that you can't find anywhere else. Also I prefer the neighborhood feel for this bar/tavern and the atmosphere there is not as pretentious as some of the more well known spots.

If hopped-up beers are your favorite, I think Half Acre is the best brewery to hit up if you only have 7 hours to kill. One bonus here is that a great beer bar/restaurant, Bad Apple, is right across the street.

If you want to go to a bar that will have a lot of variety of local stuff, then Hopleaf, Local Option, Fountainhead, Map Room, etc. would all get the job done.
