I’ve a wedding I’m attending at Paul Brown Stadium Saturday. We have a quick two night stay in Cincy - what should we do, where to go for a good beer scene? I will have all evening Friday and Saturday day time.
My favorite stop was Listermann's spot on Dana. Wide variety of styles, old school bar, plus a large indoor picnic space with a cool dine-in window too, although I'm not sure that's remained open since my last visit. The Trail House down the road does seem to make pizza, but I haven't been.
Cool, that's where my wedding reception was. I like the environment at Rhinegeist, and the beer is solid if not specatcular. Cool high-ceilinged place with lots of games and a rooftop. Standard beer is a nice bottleshop near downtown as well. I think they have taps, but I've never been to have an onsite beer there.
I will say we are bringing a carry-on so I can bring some stuff back to Houston if there is a badass bottle shop you’d recommend
If you want to drive around…. Best breweries are Streetside, Sonder and Urban Artifact (only sours). If you are looking for the best bottle shop… I’ll DM you.
Appreciate the responses. My delayed flight on Friday led me to landing late snd not getting to the Westin til about 7pm. That night turned into a tequila night with some cousins. I didn’t experience much on Saturday due to Friday night shenanigans. However I did have some Rhinegeist staple brews at the wedding reception. Quick fun weekend - I haven’t been to Cincy in 25 years since I lived there in the mid 90’s as a kid. Here’s a pic of me after the wedding at the club level overlooking the field.
