I have to go with the swipe pads at bottle shops/taprooms, etc that prompt for how much of a tip you want to add. If I received service or suggestions then ok, but if I went to the cooler and picked out my own brew, why the hell should I tip the person behind the counter who did absolutely nothing? You have to watch the dates at TW, and grocery stores can have limited selections, but at least they don't prompt you for a tip just because they are open.

    It’s Sour New England ipa.
Imagine all the good features of a NEIPA but removed and replaced with sourness. The smooth mouthfeel is gone, no fruity juicy hops, instead a kettle sourness, lightly bitter hops and an out of place sweetness. I tried a few and totally quit the style.

For the record I love sours though. Lacto and Brett are my good friends. My collection includes hermitage, almanac, crooked stave and my favourite lighter styles are Berliner and gose.

People who feel they need to tell brewers what ingredients they should or shouldn’t use in their beers.

There is such a thing but it’s called SNEPA (session New England pale ale, being that it’s low %.) checkout Gypsy Hill Swamper, 3.5% but really opaque with nice use of Azacca hops

This is one of the greatest posts I’ve ever read on this site. I couldn’t agree more. Thanks.

Going to the store and seeing 20 different IPAs, sours, ciders, shandies, and only 1 or 2 dark beer or lager options
Not being able to read/locate dates
Not being able to tell if a date is born on or best by
Really dumb artsy ironic or tongue in cheek labeling
    No ABV listed on label
6-packs or cases not rotated correctly
Any sampler pack that's 3/4 IPAs and not labeled as such (I'm looking at you SN)
    Any attempt at extreme marketing
Any label with "proud to be independent" or similar idiom
Seeing any beer brewed under the InBev umbrella
Labels with women with prominent buttocks (it just automatically makes me think of sh*t)

Things that annoy me about Beeradvocate:
Pop-up windows in the corner of the page for events I have no interest in
Alerts for events I have no interest in every time I log-in
Clicking the beer tab and seeing 10 straight double IPA reviews followed by 20 imperial stouts and sours
That reviewer that capatilzes CAN in every review and makes horrible CAN puns
Clicking the WBAYDN thread and seeing people posting their dogs/sports ball games/grillouts/family members/cigars/15 youtube links to European melodeath bands/anything not directly related to beer. Guys, no one cares.
Forum members that just have to butt in to every single thread to give their expert opinion (especially in the homebrew forum)
Tongue in cheek, vaguely antagonistic replies that don't translate because it's the internet
Threads that devolve into drunken ramblings completely removed from the original post/question
Members who quote a whole post just to make a snarky one sentence comeback

    Lots of things annoy me

Are you completely new to the internet?

:stuck_out_tongue: You CAN't possibly be referring to @woodychandler CAN you?!? Bud, yer two decades too late! The CANQuest (tm) advocated for beer in CANs well before it was prevalent. The importance of CANs led to the capitalization that CANtinues today. Sorry that you CAN't appreciate the thought that goes into all of those puns. See you inna funny pages or on NBS! :sunglasses:

 I have toyed with ChANging it to "woodyChANdler", but a) I am lazy & b) kinda like e. e. cummings, I have been humbled by wartime combat (I was the USS Normandy's (CG-60) starboard-side 50-cal machine gunner on my 26th birthday, waving (!) at a retreating Iraqi Imperial Guardsman). cummings TOTES eschewed CAPS after his experience in WWI & while I admire him & his poetry, I find CAPS useful on ocCANsion.

Well it’s a public place everyone is welcome, I know of no brewery or bar, bar/restaurant that is exclusionary to any degree. I’d expect the clientele of any such establishment to more or less represent the general statistics of 80% white, 12 black, 8 Hispanic I guess. My local bar has everyone represented, and I don’t live in a country club environment. No golf pros, no yacht clubs, no Neuro Surgeons I suppose, it’s middle America nothing more or less, and I’d say more under 40 than over, and a very exclusive private college a few miles away. It’s the only craft bar really in the area, and I’d suppose the really minority here would be college age students except on weekend nights.
