Illinois Craft Brewers Guild's Passport 2018

    I searched deeply. I did not find any thread here on Beer Advocate mentioning the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild's 2018 Summer Passport.
    If you're in Illinois, you should have heard about this. ICBG did this in 2017 also.
    I post because I did phenomenally well :grinning:. I blew past the forty needed for IMBIBE membership.
    I wound up visiting seventy-three craft breweries. I sent in the authorization form last Wednesday, the 22nd. The count is accurate. I have two visas from breweries that are not in ICBG, and there were two ICBG breweries I visited which did not officially participate (Marz, Off Color).
    For visiting all these breweries, none of which involved me operating a motor vehicle to reach, I deserve more than just a membership in IMBIBE.:beer:

    I deserve a free ticket to FoBAB!

    (I'll be out-&-about later tonight @ Delilah's 25th Anniversary Party if anybody wants to inspect my completed passport.)
    How many of you collected visas for the passport? Did you get to at least forty?

    That's from Jan 1 to today. Sheesh, who the heck can get to 40 in 3 months?!

    Congrats. That is an impressive feet. 73 breweries visited. 90 summer days. That's like hitting up a brewery every day Monday through Saturday for 3 months...

    Also, why do people insist on posting informative beer happenings after they've already happened? I've never heard of the 2018 passport program.

    Yeah that sounds like a lot of work for a free fobab ticket. I'll just stick to pouring beer on Friday and going Saturday for free. LOL

    OP, I agree. Nice work. Your dedication does deserve a comped FOBAB entry. However, my pull with ICBG is likely commensurate with my non-existing IMBIBE membership status.

    Well, considering he said he didn't operate a motor vehicle when visiting the 73 breweries, impressive feet indeed! :wink:
