Picked up a 4 pack of this years War On Xmas. This year it's peanut brittle with some toffee. Was a bit apprehensive to pick this up but it was pretty solid. Don't really taste a whole lot of peanut but it's has nice creamy body with some slight toffee sweetness. Big fan of Illuminated, don't see a whole lot of discussion about their brews here but I think they brew some pretty solid stuff. Plus their artwork is pretty wild. Haven't made it up to their tap room yet on the NW side.
I just had it last night. For me, the peanut brittle really comes thru in the nose, but not as much on the taste buds. Agreed on the creamy body and toffee sweetness. Having said that, I think I prefer the original recipe. I don't know if they made it this year.
