Hey New Englanders. Ive tried to set up a Zombie Dust/HT trade a few times over the last three months and had absolutely no luck. Is this basically going to be impossible until the expansion happens this fall? Thanks for any insight.
I've never traded before, so I'm just guessing... is it because people don't think a DIPA for a pale ale is an equal trade? As the previous poster said, I'd probably do a 4-pack of HT for sixer of ZD just because I haven't had ZD and hear good things. I don't have any HT, though.
I've done this trade quite often in the past, it'll get done. Be a little patient and I'm sure someone with Heady will do this. Sorry, don't have any extra Heady at the moment or I'd help you out.
I've traded 16 Heady for a case of Zombie Dust twice now. In fact the second box went out today. This is a great trade for both parties when both beers are super fresh and should get done fairly easily. Cheers! Keith
I find it hard to believe no one in the Norther Vermont/Alchemist distribution wouldn't want to give this a go. Heady is not hard to come by at all if you live in the area. Perhaps your ISO/FTs are getting lost in the shuffle amongst all of the other threads?
Perhaps. Perhaps. Im really looking for someone that I can set this trade up with on a consistent basis to avoid the rate race when a craving comes along.
This is a surprise. I have done this exact trade several times before. If I lived closer to the source I would love to set this up.
Hmm, well as others have said, I would gladly do this if I lived closer to Waterbury. Right now it's a 4.5 hour round trip drive for me if I get a Heady craving. Lately though it's been HF Abner thats been putting the miles on my car because that is a tough craving to get over.
As others have said if I had some extra Heady I would make that trade. In a few weeks I am headed to VT to restock. If you are still in need I will trade with you. I love ZD!
This trade has happened a billion times, which is probably why you are struggling. (Particularly in setting up a recurring relationship...) There aren't a ton of Vermont traders in the area, and between the constant request for HF, HT, and Lawson's, they are likely a bit burnt out on trading. How much are you trying to trade and how much are you looking for? Specifics likely matter here. I'm surprised a 6-pack of ZD can't quickly score a 4-pack of HT, but if you're looking for larger amounts, I'm not as surprised...
It's been said before, in Vt we have Heady, Double Sunshine and all of the great IPA's from Hill Farmstead. Offer a top quality brew in a different style, we have plenty of our own world class IPA's.
