So I have a work trip next week to LA for some meetings and what not. We will be staying in Universal City and I'm curious about a couple things.

    1) I did a search through the forums on shops and see the Vendome Liquors looks fairly close to me and I think I saw something about a Whole Foods in Burbank for beer stores. I'm looking to grab a few bottles while I'm out there and am asking where I should head to grab a few to bring back to east coast? (side note, do you guys see alpine or abyss in your stores?)

    2) Good beer bars in the vicinity. I may only have 1 night to go out on my own, possibly 2, but are there any must hit spots in that area?

Thanks for your help guys. I tried to search as much as possible but am a little tied up at work. I really appreciate any and all help/info.

I hope I didn't offend any die hard Tupac fans...

edit: if its any consolation Life After Death and Thug Life are neck and neck on my itunes plays

Bill's liquor in Atwater village has abyss right now, they got a pretty damn good selection in general. youll find some cool stuff as they tend to fly under the radar.

I work at Uni and live in the area. Agreed on Vendome. I believe I've seen some Alpine stuff there.
The Federal Bar is also close by on Lankershim in North Hollywood.
