So i was talking with my brother this evening and he is telling the he is stuck in a rut with IPA's. He is stuck on a few ipa and is wanting to see what else is out there he lives in Atlanta area here is his IPA rut sweetwater, founders centennial, bell two hearted, New Belgium Ranger IPA. I know there are a lot of good IPA's that he can try but what would you all suggest?

Trading is the best way to get the big boys, but just do what I did, buy all of the ones you can find and drink up.

IPAs are a difficult style to get into for some--I know they were for me. I disliked my first several IPAs and it took me a couple of years to being to truly enjoy them. Instead of flooding him with IPAs, I'd maybe start recommending some good APAs or other lightly hoppy beers and then work his way back into IPAs.

My personal favorites are Lakefront IPA, Odell IPA, Bells Two Hearted, Smuttynose Finestkind, SN Torpedo, Summit Saga, well the list goes on and on.... The good thing about IPA's is that there are more good beers then any other style.

Firestone-Walker is easily obtainable through trades and their single and double IPAs are amazing. Union Jack and Double Jack respectively. Excellent and well balanced, they really opened my mind on IPAs in general.

If your in an IPA rut get away from IPA's. I'm a hop head and when you reach your limit you have to back off. Go to porters, BA stuff, hell even Miller Lite will work.
