Im going to be driving up to Seattle tomorrow to catch a Mariners game and was wondering if anyone would be willing to be my beer guide. Im not very familiar with the city, food, traffic, that sorta stuff. I would like to visit Georgetown and Freemont but asume there is something local i dont know of. I will be bringing extra beers up with me to share and if i get a guide i will bring a nice beer to give that person as well as driving and buying a few beers at the breweries. Any extra tips are also welcome!
    Thanks!!!

Go to Holy Mountain. They open at 3. I'll probably be there around then if you want to say hi.

Not too far (just a few blocks) from the stadium is Collins Pub. It's one of the best bars in Seattle.

I'm coming down for the game on Sunday, and I'll be hitting Collins before and after.

If a local BA decides to squire you around town, you'll be set, but we've already laid it out pretty clearly in the "Visiting Seattle" thread. Don't be afraid to pick your own route based on what interests you, and also don't be afraid to stop at a place you drive by because it catches your eye. Seattle is full of unsung heroes in addition to the Fremonts and Georgetowns. A mature beer market means those who have been around more than a year have had to prove themselves in a competitive atmosphere and likely have good beer. Newcomers like Holy Mountain had to have the skills and the balls to open in that competitive market, too. You (almost) can't go wrong. Seattle is a great city to find your own favorites and unexpected places that make cool stories to tell your friends about back home.

And that's because the guys at HM have been brewing great beer at the other breweries in town for a long time. Which is an additional benefit of having a more mature scene.

There's a parking lot right across from Collins,(2nd and James) I would just park there all day, and use the public transportation to get around for the day.
