Does anyone have any good suggestions for software that can resize pictures of beer to fit the BA site requirements? I'm having a hard time getting my pictures to meet the 20 KB and 150x300 pixel size. I often can get one, but not the other.

I've tried Picasa and MS Paint with no success. Anyone know what would work, or is the problem my original picture (taken with an iPhone) not having the right image size and resolution?

Thanks for your help...and yes, I suspect that I could just be missing the obvious with one of my existing software options so don't hesitate to point out a link to some step-by-step instructions for newbies if you know it will help.

Irfanview allows you to create a custom crop size. Or, what I often do is just go to Edit, crop, and as i am dragging the rectangle over the image, it shows at the top of the image the crop ratio..just keep moving it until it ends up at a perfect .500

Then, resize the image to 150x300 (which is the same ratio of .5000 so it wont get distorted) and save with a lower quality setting (this pops up when you go to save the image.)

    Hope that helps

Photoscape also quite good for free software.

GIMP. It's free and open source.

Looks like I've got some other choices to try out as well. Thanks everyone.

I 2nd Irfanview. Their standard save options make it simple to cutout all the metadata from the image. Really helps meet such a restrictive size limit.
