I'm certainly excited to come to my first BA event and meet a bunch of people and drink craft brew!

I'll be there with my wife, looking forward to it. I think I'll have a Fou Foune to share as well.

I think I can make it now too. I'll bring a pile of Hill Farmstead.

Still planning to attend. Doesn't look as if the bottle of 2010 Abyss I was expecting will arrive on time, so will probably bring a bottle of the 2009 and 2011, along with a bottle of Cuir.

Planned on coming up, but doesn't look like it will happen. Have a great time and take a lot of pictures!

Anybody from the Lehigh Valley are planning, or thinking about going? I'm on the fence, don't really want to go alone.

Your call on that (though it would be great if you could bring a bottle of 2008 and 2010), though I think there will be more than enough great beer regardless.

If you do bring a bottle of 2010, I actually have a pretty good supply at my condo back in Portland, so I'll be happy to reimburse your bottle of the 2010. I should get it just a couple days after this event and so could get a bottle back to you pretty quickly.

Can't help you with the 2008 though. :-)

Is there anyone coming to this that has access to pliny the elder? I've been trying to score a few bottles for a hophead friend of mine. I gladly trade or outright pay if you can get them off the shelf.

Same for both of these, just replace wife with girlfriend.

@oline, what vintage is your Fou' Foune? Mine is a 2011.

Mine is also an 11, but you can never have too much.

Just as an "oh by the way..." I belong to several wine clubs and so have accumulated a number of shipping boxes over the past couple of years. I plan to bring a bunch with me for this event (mostly 6 pack and full case shippers), so if anyone wants some, just let me know during the event (I'll be the guy wearing the black PtY shirt). I'll probably bring around a half dozen or so, so first come and all that.... right now they're just collecting dust in my basement so I'd like to unload them.

One more chance to try to lock up an IP trade at this for some pliny or bourbon county stout offerings. Anyone?

The only way you'd find Pliny is if someone traded for it recently or had it sent to them from the West Coast. Good luck though.

Ah, I was under the impression you could buy bottles in Philly. Well, here's to holding out on hope for either. Thanks for the info!

Only draft makes it to Philly of Pliny the Elder, no bottles. The only Russian River bottles that do are their sours and Damnation, Salvation, etc.

With this being my first event, I do have a few questions. How does everyone keep their beer chilled? Do we bring coolers in, or leave them in the car?

Secondly, does everyone just walk around with beer in hand, sharing samples, or will we have tables and stay there for the tasting.

Lastly, is there an opportunity to rinse tasting glasses? I don't want to be trying a sour or ipa right after a thick stout has coated my glass.

Thanks in advance for helping the new guy!
