    Yeah, like another user suggested, just man up. Every barleywine is just a 'robust' session beer :stuck_out_tongue:

    No kidding, I had an "imperial session IPA" (that's what was written on the board, at least) at the Blind Lady Ale House in San Diego... Decent beer, if memory serves.

    Why not? Names, styles, classifications are all invented anyways. It'd surely get some chump to buy it on name alone. "Hey bro, barleywine are cool for lawnmower beers on a hot day, but when you really want to enjoy something, grab an imperial barleywine."

    Breweries take note: You'd sell that shit, even if it were all a joke.

    No, but aged DFH 120 Minute I would feel be something that could maybe qualify as an imperial barleywine.

    What if someone brewed a barleywine and then ice distilled it? Kind of like Struise's process to make Double Black. That would surely constitute the idea of an Imperial Barleywine, no?
