First and second questions are basically the same. I would like more imperial pilsners. I've liked the ones I've had. Umm, imperial porters? Imperial saison? The third question, I have no idea.

The first thing I thought of when I started reading this was Cartman drinking diet double dew while zip lining.

Something that might be interesting. IIRC the English Brown used to be much more often brewed than it is now and there used to be a "double" version. Don't think, however, I've ever seen or tried the double English Brown.

I remember having a bottle of Nøgne Ø Imperial Brown Ale before.

Like it? If so that might be a path to explore.

Whether or not they have the double or imperial moniker, I would like to see more pilsner type lagers with the hops ratcheted up.

Yes, it was tasty and definitely an option.

I'm not 100% sure that I understand the OP's question but I will say that I really liked Avery's Kaiser "Imperial" Marzen.

Further, it made me think that imperial Marzens would be a good style to get into if more breweries made them.

.......Imperial to me, in the way it is used in the US craft scene, is a silly trendy category like "india pale XXX"....
Bocks are Bocks, tripels are tripels.
Stuff like Imperial Pilsner makes me cringe. What's next, imperial barrel aged black kölsch?

I recently had a Gose that was 7%, does that count as an Imperial Gose?

What about bayerischer Bahnhof Goseator? There are versions from 8.5-10% abv. I believe, and it even is Tequilla barrel aged....
(I think the brewer himself would rather call it Gose Bock than Imperial Gose, hence the name "Goseator")..
