I grabbed this beer at my local store and this beer is the best non barrel aged stout I've had. Did this beer fly under the radar or what?

Heard good things about this for sure, was actually debating on throwing out an ISO for it earlier.

I thought it was okay. The vanilla was a little on the artificial side for my liking. I think the price is holding it back, too - $15 is on the high side for this one, IMO.

I thought it was very tasty, but it's hard to say it's better than, say, Founders Breakfast Stout... maybe on par with FBS, though (which means really damn good)

I enjoyed it, but probably won't buy it very often because of the price point.

How available is this? I'd love to get a bottle, but have no idea of distro, availability, or what to offer. If anybody wants to talk about a trade, or even just has some helpful info, shoot me a BM. Cheers!

No doubt a delicious beer, had it on tap a few weeks ago and couldn't believe they really got all of the almond flavor to blend so seamlessly into the porter base, and there was no hint of the 13% ABV. Will definitely buy again.

Did you pick one up in the area?

I can't agree more with the comments above. It's an absolutely fantastic stout that rivals some of the best non-barrel aged competitors, as well as some barrel-aged stouts, for that matter. Extremely complex with an outstanding almond characteristic, as afrokaze mentioned, that I haven't found in any other beer. It's a bit on the sweet side, but hell, it's an imperial biscotti stout.

I bought a 32oz growler about a month ago and paid over $30 for it. Definitely pricey, but I'd say it was worth having once.

Absolutely loved the beer. I saw it here for about $13.50 and thought it was worth every penny.

A 5.5oz snifter at Capones was maybe 6 bucks a month or so ago, but it was unreal. Love this stuff

Watch out for the non-imperial biscotti. Had it earlier this week and it was a bastard of a gusher. I stuck my finger in the bottle to stem the eruption (stupid idea!) and ended up painting my cieling a nice touch of mocha. It tasted great, but as several reviews have noted (regular, not imperial), it's got carbonation issues.

I just bought a bottle and opened it, I full agree that it is great, and it stole the stop for best coffee stout I have tried. I feel it was worth the every penny. As far as flying under the radar, it is #2 on the Top Beers- New, but doesn't seem to have much hype on the forums.

I've also heard the gusher warning for the non imperial version.. Chill it REAL cold and do it over a sink.
