Haha, I have to say Smutty, the irony of someone so against contract brewing loving a gypsy brewer is completely overwhelming!

Picked one up at Wine Thief downtown this PM. Cheap, too, like $12. Not on tap at Prime anymore, since I had the last one :grinning:

Had the biscotti break at Cask in new Haven last night. Impressive. Can't wait to crack open an imperial.

Pretty Things isnt a gypsy brewer, as if that word even means anything other than making contract brewing sound mysterious. Pretty much everything they make comes out of Buzzards Bay.

I thought gypsy brewer meant that you brewed it yourself at another person's brewery. If that is the case, Pretty Things is a gypsy brewer. I'm pretty sure Dann and Martha brew all of the beer themselves.

From what I understand, Evil Twin is a contract brewer/sometimes gypsy brewer, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.

Gypsy brewers move around to different breweries. Ive heard PT refer to themselves as tenant brewers now. Back in the beginning at Paper City they used the word gypsy.

Jeppe brews Evil Twin at a lot of places. I dont think he shows up on brewing day that often. It would be impossible.

Gotcha about the gypsy part. So Jeppe is a gypsy contract brewer?

Here's an interview with him that will explain it better: http://chsbeer.org/blog/2012/06/interview-the-evil-twin-himself-jeppe-jarnit-bjergsø

He brews in many countries but is there for the first batch. I thought I read in that Evil Twin nuclear meltdown thread a couple months ago that he basically comes up with an idea for the beer and makes the recipe with the brewer.
