OK, apologies first because I confused you with another poster that played the "Nietzsche" card....Are you serious? Thanks for the props on my Avatar...Apparently we have more in common than I originally (mistakenly) believed. Its just that on my very, very short exposure to BA, I've found some incredibly phony, pretentious people...Maybe I'm just a goober but....

I used to get pissed when the scene depicted on a comic book cover was nowhere to be found within the pages of said comic book.

    Then I grew up.

Saw it for $18 today. I thought it was supposed to get cheaper once Evil Twin started brewing at a new contract facility.

Interesting. I didn't recognize the reference to almonds and such when I read the label of my biscotti break I bought recently. I went back into the fridge and looked again and sure enough......

Maybe they have changed the label based on backlash such as this?

Man, I thought it is overpriced at 14.99, but I guess that is one of the better prices around.

And yes it is the kind of beer that is divisive, huge sweet beers often are.

If you still can't find it, I have at least one in my fridge, and I'm in Albany. Let me know if you want it.

375s don't exist. We are the only ones who make it and we only do it in bombers. Still crazy people have trouble finding it where it is distributed, we make it regularly every 4-6 weeks.

Label has always been the same. Never said anything about almonds and vanilla on the label. Just natural flavors. We add coffee grounds to the boil and add almonds (about 100lbs) and vanilla beans to the brite tank

I was making a poor joke in response to guzzlah's constant unfunny comments about IBB's sweetness, not referring to IBB itself.

But if Evil Twin made a beer called Insulin, that'd actually be funny!

thanks for the reply. based on some responses in this thread it was a bit implied that the label stated differently. thanks for the clarification

I think the only real take aways from this thread are: if you want an almond taste in your beer you will have to add a metric fuck ton of them like you need to do with peach, that a name is not a guarantee, it is just a name, and that many people think some beers are great while others think the same beers suck.

I haven't had that one yet, though I really enjoyed their Choklat! The Biscotti Break wasn't overtly sweet but close. Anyways, ISO: Creme Brulee.

I don't find this beer to be in the same galaxy as Crem Brulee with respect to sweetness.

I also get zero similarity to actual Biscotti.

I think the poster who mentioned the name may imply a compatibility to a biscotti as a pairing makes sense, but then again these Evil Twin beers tend to have cutesy names in general.

I like Imperial Biscotti Break and can easily knock down a bottle myself. I hate Yang. I think Yin is below average. Lil B is OK, Even More Jesus is awful. All of these things are 100% my own opinion and obviously completely subjective.

Really I don't see how it's possible to enjoy Yang though. G-R-O-S-S.
