How's the java compare to big bad baptist?

 

I'm having a BCBCS right now and I love it, but it is nothing remarkable compared to Java or several other Eclipses. I also love BBB, but would say that the Java is more nuanced and complex and a little less in your face than the Baptist.

It gets so boring hearing people complain about the cost of the Eclipse, so many of whom have either never tried them or maybe have had a pour at a bottle share. 50-50 makes fantastic beers and they charge what they charge. Haters gonna hate, but I'm just going to enjoy my beer.

 

Well. I just dropped $28 on a bottle of Old Fitzgerald. This thread is responsible. We'll see how it is.

 

I tend to look at expensive beers just like inexpensive beers..opportunities to try something new. The expensive part probably means its a better beer than its less expensive counterpart, but not always, and even when it is, when it comes to brass tacks, generally not enough better to justify the price difference. But its still a new beer to try!

 

For people that can't wrap their heads around someone who has trouble throwing down this much money for 1 bottle of beer, let me just say one word that most responsible consumers like to weigh heavily before making a purchase: value.

 

Here is something I value. And it tastes fantastic.

 

Just finished this off myself. What a fantastic beer. I have zero regrets about the $40 I paid for it so where is the harm?
