I'm interested in brewing a Kentucky Common since I've never had one, don't live that far from Kentucky, and it seems like an interesting style. The last time I brewed I did a bigfoot clone and a dark mild from the same grain bill (just steeped some chocolate malt to darken the mild). I would love to keep doing this 2 for 1 brewing. Here is the recipe that I was planning on trying for a Kentucky Common, but I want to figure out a way to have it be the small beer and still do a large beer. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/.../kiss-yer-cousin-rye.../ One thought I had was to just scale it up and try a high alcohol version of KY common, and then the actual KY common will be the small beer. Anyone have thoughts on how that will turn out? Are there any styles that use a similar grain bill that are higher alcohol?
