Fudgiosity (Founders can call it whatever they like) is really tasting great now. Coffee has moved forward. Cheers!

Glad you have those to keep you guys warm down there. I was worried for my folks down there since I know it may have even dipped below 50 a couple of nights! :astonished: I should call and check on my boy that only drinks Victoria and 805, make sure he didn't freeze
Never been to the Propagator, but Buellton was basically all barrel aged stuff the times I've been. Definitely a better list of barrel stuff than Paso has. Definitely worth a stop for someone like you, but I always find it sort of a weird stop if it's not your destination. It feels a bit like the middle of nowhere

this is a little sweeter than I remember it being. Still a world class stout.

It's the whole barrel house blend as opposed to the various distiller specific blends that some of the 12 oz bottles had

This is fantastic. The 2019 gets the edge, though.

Boulevard Maple Mood Imp Stout, rated it a 4.17 overall

Pours an effervescent ebony with a pinky of mocha colored head. Some head retention & lacing

S: Maple Syrup, a little vanilla, dark fruits. Bourbon notes once warm

T: Dark fruits, especially dark cherry, woody hops, cola & carob, some oaky barrel notes & dryness up front. Dark fruit, woody hops, dryness, cola notes & a little Maple Candy & chocolate notes as this beer warms up. Finishes a little dry, with warming booze, Maple Candy, leafy hops & cola notes

MF: Medium body/chewy with low carbonation, warming

Very good, one I would consider buying again, but not quite world-class, close though

@Resistance88 wasn't joking about Parabajava. That thing is an absolute coffee monster. I mentioned it on my side by side thread but between that and Parabaloid, Firestone-Walker is making a real case for their place in the pantheon of elite barrel programs

Second 2022 OG I’ve had. Still thin compared to usual. Not sure how so many people are saying the opposite. Tastes amazing

I feel like they've been there for a long time. For a bit it seemed like Avery and FW were the only barrel programs I could source, now everyone has a program it seems. If it's not Firestone, Freemont, or someone similar I am still nervous to try em. There have been so many infected bottles from decent breweries over the years I try to stick with the ones with good qc.

New Trail - Sticky (Imperial Milk Porter). 9.3% abv. Brewed with coffee, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla. All of those flavors are fairly strong as the beer warms. Fairly sweet, full bodied, sticky mouthfeel.

Enjoying a BBA Neapolitan Dark Apparition i bought back in the summer.
    Overall rated it a 4.05.
Nose is nice with notes of bourbon barrel, chocolate, dark fruits, and vanilla.
Taste is a large malt base that give you a sample of the barrel up front. On the back end the adjuncts of strawberry, chocolate and vanilla open up and take over the show.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Was fun to try once but at $18 definitely not worth it a 2nd time.
    Cheers!
    Tom
