Bourbon County's are usually $15 for regular and $25+ for the rarer variety right? priced me out.

Yup, $20/single in Minneapolis. Average at best; & I only picked one up at that rapacious price because TG stouts have historically been some of the best stouts I've ever had. This one? Not in the top 200.

Same. $23 per can plus big letters about artificial flavors. I appreciate natural flavors in my expensive craft beers!

Appreciate the post, cant like it though. That is ri god damn diculous!!
What is the price per oz on that? I feel like that needs to be broken up into singles, but a 4 pack is just crazy.

$1.28 per oz if you divide 82 by 64

But i Live in hell were the tax rate is 10% so if you divide 90 by 64 its 1.40 per oz which is a big fuck you from me.

Thats funny. I thought that was a case price as it says 6/cs. Artificial flavored s’mores. Guess that it’s actual flavor then.

I will buy 2 tanks of gas for that price.

    Enjoy

Either you got a small car or gas is really cheap around you. I'm not far off that for one tank of gas in my minivan.

    $3.29 is not that high.

I honestly don't know the cost. I don’t look anymore. I had a Prius up until a month ago but it had no A/C, multiple warning lights came on if I went over 62, rear hatch handle was cracked off, my CAT was stolen and that was almost 2G to replace so I traded it in, got stupid $. I miss my 46 MPG and no car payment the last 16 years. It was $48 last fill up.

I miss those .79 cent gas days getting under 10 MPG in my old Camaro.

    Enjoy

A new one for me from a local brewer, Holzlager. According to them, it's a great big BBA RIS that clocks in at 13.8%. Can art is nice, beer's better. A nice thick'n chewy pour, not much in the foam department, wasn't expecting much. Nose gets roasted malts, some chocolate, candy, cinnamon and maple syrup. It drinks easily but has a bit of "burn" at the end. I'm sitting outside, it's 61° and a bead of sweat is starting to form. [IMG]
I'm a big fan of Imperial Stouts, especially Russian and this one's really tasty.

For people would line up for BCBS on Black Friday, locally, it's become a "shelf turd" here. I saw it on sale today for $10.99.

Maybe its the coffee ,maybe it's the time it's sat . I think i had this earlier this year or maybe it was Fyodor and it was Amazing. This shit tastes like cabbage, zucchini bread and sweaty BUTT. Nothing in the nose. It was corked and purchased from Stone last year
, no idea how it was stored. This taste is EXACTLY like the 2019 Straightjacket i had this month( or maybe late last month) Nasty ass vegetable flavor. Like the veggie juice at the bottom of the rice from a bowl from Yoshinoya or any teriyaki place with frozen vegetables in it.
I woulda preferred 5 wax layers over this cork shit.

I still love Stone. So still postin here cuz the other one i had was Amazing . Lesson learned is Don't age beer. Drink all your stouts and post here

Edit: what is this shit caused by? This vegetal flavor. Is it DMS?

DMS can come across as vegetal, but usually it's more of a creamed corn type flavor. If the beer you're drinking has DMS it won't go away. I suspect that what you've got is an infection of some sort.
http://scottjanish.com/how-to-prevent-dms-in-beer/#:~:text=What is DMS?,embryo of barley during germination.

Also TG stouts are the most over rated stouts I've tried.

I sent stone an angry letter .how do i know which is which? The one from stone was on Blackened Friday( black friday) which was after August.
I'm praying for this one cuz i also bought this at stone...will post tomorrow or someshit.
2017 BBA RIS * the non adjuncted version of that infected mess i just drank. If i die from the infected beer , none of you are invited to my funeral

Ahhh, now I’m in my comfort zone. Barrel-Aged stouts have been my chase for the last couple of years, and I’ve had the privilege of trying some truly special beers. While Side Project has taken up much of this list, others have crept in as well! Here are my tops that I’ve tried from the last year or so:

Side Project - Derivation Blend 12
    3 Sons - Three³
    Monkish - TXXTH
Side Project - Rye BBT (probably my favorite stout of all time)
Side Project / Weldwerks - DM
Angry Chair / Prairie - BA Adjunct Trail
    Toppling Goliath - KBBS
    Side Project - BBT 2019 & 2020
    Aslin - Harrisonburg
Side Project / Cycle - BVC
    Modern Times - Monster Tones
Side Project - Derivation 9 (okay this might be my favorite of all time …)
    Side Project - OWK

The chase continues; can’t wait to see what this year has in store for big acquisitions! Pic for relevance; the mind behind so many of my favorite Barrel Aged stouts.

I post beers that aren’t whales all the time! But hey, with the amount of time and effort spent trying to find and land these big beers, I’ll take the opportunity to flex where applicable lol. Plus, if you don’t know what any of them are how do you know if they’re whales or not?? These are just my personal favorites in the category. [insert shrug here]
