I am at a loss, but it is what it is.
Truth be told, I am on a third Double Dog. NOT a stout or barleywine.

 

Equal Parts Brewing (Houston, TX) Burial in Space imperial stout. Got a 500 ml bottle of this beer at the brewery this past weekend, enjoying the warm boozy mocha flavors tonight. This is becoming a favorite Houston brewery.

 

Yeah, trying to make myself tired lately…lots of anxious energy I suppose. Job is almost at the point where we’ll find out if it’s closing or what. One Director resigned yesterday, so we’ll see how much people will start to panic.

 

Dark brown color, so…qualifies enough? LOL!

 

Cinnamon is actually one of my favorite adjuncts. It works well with all the flavors that naturally come out in a BA stout.

 

This beer is awesome fresh. This beer is awesome refrigerated over time.

Revolution Supermassive Cafe Deth (2021)



Cellar review here. If you like strong dark roast coffee, this is the beer for you.

 

Willetized 2023. First sip was barrel forward. Letting it warm. I don’t have the time to do a vertical with a 2022, but suggest that approach if available to you. I drank the last of my 2020s earlier this year - was a bit too long in the tooth for my tastes as too much faded. YMMV.

Got pulled back to work a few sips into the Willetized. Off tomorrow and pulled a 2022 from beer fridge; I will do a side by side. Barrel was stronger than I remember. Cheers.
