Should one put varied styles of imperial stout together in blind tasting? non-barrel aged vs. barrel aged vs chile vs. fruit infused? Or are the styles too different?

I think you should pour all your Stouts in a big bucket, stir, and enjoy. Kidding aside, I have done blind stout tastings. I have done all BA vs. non BA.

I think that would be interesting... If you wanted to mix it up...I mean, as far as I understand blind tastings are just to compare how much you like a beer without the influance of brand bias.

Throwing a chile stout in a blind test doesn't really make it much of a blind test anymore.

There is no real right answer. Depends on what you want. They key is to enjoy yourself mostly so dont over think it.

I would stick to one style for similarities. Seems silly to mix BA and non-BA.

I did this one with two friends, it was cheap too.
