Who's taking part? http://www.camrgb.org/camrgb-events/ I'll be in York that evening and i don't think i'll run into any RIS's plus i dont have t'interweb on my ancient mobile.
I've worked out the what and when but not the where That's okay I don't even have any friends beer liking or not I should just go find myself a cave somewhere lmao
Its even easier than finding a cave, you can stay in your man cave as its a online tasting via Twitter, just tag it #IMPOFF Not that we couldnt organise a BA IMPOFF
I would love that except 1 my Twitter was my pride and Joy so when I pissed the missus off she deleted it and 2 I have searched near and far for Magic Rock and Kernel and found nothing nearby Waitrose only have the light Thornbridge beers Dark Star have piqued my curiosity but I think I've only ever seen it as a guest ale a bit ago I guess Buxton isn't a million miles away and as though I know a few Sam Smith houses I've never seen the bottled stouts
i havent looked at the list but i have 5 diff BD Paradox, Ola Dubh, Goose Island BCS, Hardknott Aether Blaec, Great Divide Yeti and i just so happen to have a Durham Temptation. The Durham brewery lot thought up the idea but i cant see any reason why other RIS wont do.
Bearded Lady was on the Beer Ritz website last I loooked. And I believe I saw the Kernel beer on Beer Merchants.
How about we all get some stouts of our own pickings (perhaps locals so we can advertise local breweries to each other) and chat about them in here on saturday night?
you know what I have never ordered beer online lol tried couple of days ago but I screwed up the password protection on the cardand now have to phone some number or another. I'm always willing to bash the keyboard about brewskis I've only got one stout in but I do have a couple of other dark beers.
you know what I have never ordered beer online lol You probably save a lot of money that way. Lately I've been largely moving back to the specialist beer shops as I like being surprised by what's on the shelvesf and the human contact is a real winner too. Just like the olden days.
I'm still mourning the loss of Marble Arch world beers, where like you said the surprise and the human touch are all part of the magic, I looked on Beer Ritz and yeah it looks okay but that is quite a hefty minimum order they have. Have a trolley with 4 bottles on Beers of Europe for £16 so four each including postage but I can't find out what the minimum order is.
One of the best things in life is perusing shelves of beer, aye. Plus you don't have to pay for delivery Don't think BoE have a minimum order! You just have to deal with paying £6 for 4 beers I suppose
I've dealt with Beer Ritz before. They're good, no complaints and they now sell indivual bottles as opposed to cases only. Would happily deal with them again.
