Just moved (sort of) and until I finish my basement and build a temp control fridge for cellar I was just going to keep on a rack. HOWEVER, the basement is damp and a bit smelly. I wax caps (I know, some of you disagree with its purpose, suck it) to protect against moisture and I do run a dehumidifier down there. Any worries about smells infiltrating? The basement has to be better than my over crowded closet/wine fridges.

Think about your question. If air can get into the beer, so can an odor. If you've solved the air problem, you're fine.
