Doing research in a hurry due to unforeseen circumstances.

Will be staying in Wheaton Thursday thru Sunday.

Looking for a beer shop for Friday Morning. Hoping for some Three Floyd's, Pipeworks, Revolution, and maybe some Half Acre. Also a 12 or 6 bottle wine shipper, since I was unable to forward mine. Would like a good shop, but preferably not too far from Wheaton.

Also, going to the Cub game Saturday. Any brewery/brewpub visit suggestions for Saturday late morning/early afternoon?

    Thanks for any help.

Goose Island Wrigley before or after the game. Right across the street!

    Ron,
Take advantage of being in the west burbs to check out the Solemn Oath taproom in Naperville. http://solemnoathbrewery.com/taproom/ . Lucky Monk is a little bit farther to the north in Barrington. I've never been to their place but they impressed at Beer Under Glass http://theluckymonk.com .

When you're in the city there's the usual advice of Hopleaf (just a short Red Line trip from Wrigley), Map Room, Local Option (A short red line trip to the south of Wrigley). If you go to Kuma's the Beer Temple is just a few blocks away.

Sheffield's is fairly close to Wrigley as well. Not sure how it's regarded around here, but I enjoyed my time there before going to a show at the metro.

Sheffields is usually pretty good, but if they're busy I've noticed more times than not that their servers have no idea what's on the full beer list. Generally while I'm there I keep their beermenus page open and order from the bar. Their bartenders are usually much more knowledgeable about the entire list.

If you're in Wheaton do yourself a favor and hit the Bavarian Lodge.

Binnys in Glen Ellyn and/or Downers Grove have the beers your looking for and the bottle shippers. I know both Binnys got in about 6 cases of Three Floyd's Blackheart this week. 6 bottle shipper runs $8 at Glen Ellyn.

No half acre though. You will have to hit the city for that one.

You can get Half Acre at Binny's in Bloomingdale. About a 15-20 minute drive north of Wheaton.

Along with your beer forays, don't forget to eat! Wheaton has a Gino's East Pizza right in town for deep dish, and 5 minutes away in neighbor Glen Ellyn is the phenomenal Barone's for thin crust. Manja!

Any preference among these two Binnys, and maybe Naperville?

Glen Ellyn is my 'go to' Binny's and I know they get their shipments in Wednesday and Thursday, so they should be pretty stocked up if you go today or Friday. I haven't been to the Naperville one, but Downers also has a great selection and they usually get a good amount of Three Floyd's beers in as well. Both of these are within 10 minutes of Wheaton.
