hello, I will be in Chicago tomorrow and Friday and was looking for a couple of good bottle shops. I have Binny's is good. Specifically is there anywhere I might be able to pick up some Three Floyds? Thanks for any info/suggestions
Three Floyds gets snatched up pretty quickly, but Binny's is a great place to start to look for them. It depends on where you are staying, but there are probably some smaller bottle shops that will have some of their beers stocked as well.
Yeah, with DLD this weekend, I don't know if any shops got new stuff in this week (or will get). BeerMenus is one place to start, though -- I'm seeing more and more shops using it in addition to bars/restaurants. Chicago is pretty big, too -- what areas of the city will you be in? Will you have a car or are you looking to rely on public transportation?
FWIW, i havent received a single case of FFF in about a week and a half...always happens during Darklord week. There's bound to be some floating about, call around.
Surprisingly, Jewel-Osco and Whole Foods in the area have been getting increased Three Floyds allocations. Saw 12 bottles of Arctic Panzer Wolf on the shelf two days ago at the Jewel-Osco at 2940 N Ashland.
My Gluntz guy said they haven't even gotten a FFF shipment in 3 weeks, and not a drop of FFF left in the warehouse.
Check out Vrai Amour 953 W. Webster. Its a make your own 6 pack small bottle shop. Everytime I am in there they have a bunch of Three Floyds, and the owners are really cool. They do not carry any bombers though. Not sure on their recent stock though with DLD coming up. Definitely worth a call.
you can definitely get lucky at wfm, but depending on where you stay in the city, if you have a vehicle at your disclosure, we can definitely narrow it down for you.
