Need some recommendations for a good place with great Belgian beer selection close (or on the way) to soldier field. Going to catch the Argentina vs Panama game. Appreciate the help! Let me know if your going to the game.
There's not much close to Soldier Field at all in terms of good beer bars, and to specify Belgian beer makes it even tougher. I am a bit stumped by this one. If they allow tailgating, I'd say to buy some of your own Belgian beer and do that.
Best I can think of is Monk's, but that's like 3 miles away, right on the northern edge of the Loop, so "close (or on the way)" is probably not the right word for it. https://www.beermenus.com/places/1808-monk-s-pub https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Mon...c99cebaff8029c!2m2!1d-87.6166884!2d41.8623132
Villians has a pretty good selection overall, but not sure about their Belgian selection specifically. Kroll's is in the same boat. Have fun at the game!
When you say "on the way", where were you coming from? Are you taking a cab/uber? Do you mean close via walking?
I went to the US-Costa Rica game and the choices inside suck. Unless you want to count Blue Moon as a Belgian. Millers Pub has a few Belgians on, though this is from May 31. I'll probably be having dinner there before the Argentina game. It's a 20-25 minute walk to Soldier Field. https://www.beermenus.com/places/2031-miller-s-pub
"cducap 6/9/16 When you say "on the way", where were you coming from? Are you taking a cab/uber? Do you mean close via walking" Definitely cab or uber for good beer!
This does appear to be the winner. It's still a 25-30 minute walk to Soldier Field, but I can't imagine finding a better, closer spot.
Thanks all! Sounds like I'll be going to Villains. Grab a couple of beers and head to the game. I appreciate the help.
kaseys is like a block away, not saying one is better than the other, im not sure honestly. also printers row wine shop and warehouse liquors are both close if you want to burn some time and have a look. great selections at both.
