Hi guys, Im in town on business until Friday - anybody recommend something around the Detroit (ren cen) or Warren area (van **** ave) that would have some good local stuff? Thanks
Breweries / Bars: Kuhnhenn, Warren Dragonmead, Warren One Eyed Betty's, Ferndale Stores: Holiday Market, Royal Oak Beer Baron, Livonia Cloverleaf, Royal Oak None of these are that far from Warren. Also, the prices for the "regular" beers at Griffin Claw are reasonable. The BA stuff is expensive, though.
You mentioned ren cen, take a walk over to Woodward and head one block north towards campus martius...the grand trunk pub is a great place for beers and food. I think the have like 30 -40 drafts now.
Kuhnhenns is blocks form the GM Tech Center in Warren. Champanes is a great beer store right across the street from the Tech Center
If you're willing to go up to the burbs, BFD Clubhouse in Rochester has a great tap selection. Green Dots Stables is in the D, great sliders and pretty good local beers. SLOW'S <3 so many taps, such good BBQ...
You must be on a trip to the General. You have some good places mentioned. St. Ceces in cork town is liked by friends and is on my radar now, have not been.
