Ok, boys and girls, I'm no newbie to the site but I am to the the beer trading area and I have absolutely no freaking clue what y'all are saying here. ISO, HIF, LIF, BIF, GIF, FT? WTF! International Standards Organization, Hypoxia-inducible factor, Leukemia inhibitory factor, Business Innovation Factory, Graphics Interchange Format, Financial Times are what I found on Google. But I bet those aren't the definitions being used here. And while I'm on a soapbox, a little more info on what I assume are brewery names, at least a touch more than one or two letters, please. I've had hundreds but can't possibly remember every detail about every beer I had over the years. Besides, I expect you'll have a better chance of making a trade if everyone knows what you are talking about. Less acronyms, more English, please. All right, I'm done ranting now.
There are some FAQ and Help threads to assist with you acronyms but let's be honest - if you don't know what "Ft: KTG, ISO: Huna" is, then you probably dont have or want either. It's cumbersome to type out full names of everything - especially in a subject line.
Well, I guess we'll never know cuz I have no clue what "Ft: KTG, ISO: Huna" means though Huna MIGHT allude to Cigar City's Hunahpu's Imperial Stout (awesome brew and nearby, i.e. in my kitchen). I've read many lists of beers (not subject lines) but have no more info on what they want or have than if I had thrown darts in the local Total Wine. My point is, if you say what you want/have then people will actually know and not have to guess. Let's at least try to be inclusive. The only thing we should exclude is the jargon-like beer-geek alphabet soup.
