Ok, so I just reviewed NN and I damn near gave it a perfect score. I know the distribution footprint is on the smaller side, but where this does make the shelves, it makes it in a deluge. Is there a better beer that sees such solid distro? Hand me this over Hopslam any day. Making this an Amber style was a stroke of genius.

Just wanted to post my appreciation for this brew and see what everyone else thinks. Ive definitely taken it for granted in the past.

Might seem pretty obvious, but don't line this beer up after a heady topper. I had my first nugget nectar last night and was wondering what the hell happened to it. Couldn't taste a damn thing due to Heady's hop domination.

Having another NN today, I once again see the glory in this fantastic beer. Praise the hop gods!

P.s. This beer isn't seeing the shelves of the P Street Whole Foods in DC. You HAVE to ask for it. The case the guy brought out had only 1 6 pack in it and on the side of the case it read: 'Do not put on shelves'. In prior years, all my cases where bought from Whole Foods..the times, they are a-changing.

Hahaha. Stick to Total Wine. They get truck-fulls of the stuff. We should see this for months to come.

Lagunitas Imperial Red Ale is a nice substitute for NN, if you can't get NN.

Just got my first six pack of NN this weekend. My first thought was that is was very similar to Hopslam, but I do like it better, especially since it is about five dollars cheaper! I won't go out of my way to find it, but will be on my buy list every year when it arrives.

    I'm getting a case tomorrow.

Does Nugget Nectar get bought up quick these days? I remember when I lived back east and it was all over the place. Could walk in a store any time and buy 220z bottles or six packs. Such a great beer.

Wish I could give this beer some love. Was told to not expect any till the end of the week, here in WNY. Lagunitus Imperial Red will have to do for now.

I am still waiting on a phone call from the beer distributor about this. I am eager to give NN a shot!

Nugget Nectar gets lots of love on Ba... And for good reason- it is a tasty beer.

Don't age it though. Really. Once the hops start fading it tastes dirty and too malty.

Agreed, this one is not good with a few months on it. I made that mistake last year.

I'm waiting until we get this year's to try it side by side with last year's. I found a bomber on the shelves a few months ago and figured it would be worth trying.

Yeah same, just waiting for it to finally hit shelves...mainly so I can trade it, but also because it's damn tasty when fresh.
