The Distillery 416 W Liberty St, Savannah, GA 31401. They have some of the best draft beer in town and mighty fine food. Green Truck Pub 2430 Habersham St, Savannah, GA 31401. Great burgers and amazing beers. The Distillery is right downtown next to the Civic Center and within walking distance anywhere downtown. Green Truck Pub will require a car ride.
Sorry to bump this, I saw the Distillery and that's definitely on our list to check out...but what about some bottle shops? Looking for more out of the norm stuff I can't get in PA. Just planned to head there for two days in May, staying at the Andaz I believe, but will have a car.
Andaz is an awesome place! That's where we always stay when we go to Savannah. Try and get upgraded to one of the corner suites overlooking the park. As for bottles, the best place in town by far is Habershams on Abercorn. Unfortunately it's all the way out by the mall, but you'll have a car, so that isn't a problem.
I was just in Savannah last month and stopped by Habershams on Abercorn. I don't know if it was just bad timing or what, but the rush hour traffic (5pm on a Friday) was INSANE. Avoid that drive at that time if you can. Otherwise, yes the selection was killer. They carry Port/Lost Abbey along with a ton of other great stuff.
