Not sure if the ABV falls in line with what you want, but a few suggesitons anyway:

Flower power - refreshing with the fruit and floral aroma/flavor, but a good hop backbone to keep you coming back for more

Prima Pils - dry, crisp, refreshing, dances between pale ale and IPA

Narragansett Summer - maybe not the best beer of all time, but a solid summer beer

Hell or High Watermellon - if feeling a bit different

Mojito - just because things are awesome in the summer heat

Sunshine Pils. My go to summer heat refreshment.

Lagunitas Little Sumpin Sumpin - 7.5 abv but drinks like 5.0, hoppy but not too bitter, light mouthfeel, very refreshing!

Why are you looking for something >6% to refresh yourself? There is still Stoudts Karnival Kolsch on the shelves here, which is a good option. Sixpoint Apollo is quite refreshing. Sly Fox Phoenix Pale and Royal Weisse are both quenchtastic (and cans get cold faster, to boot). Sierra Nevada Summerfest and Kellerweis would also do the trick.

Stone IPA. So refreshing and tasty and widely available.

Speaking of things I previously recommended, a few ice cold Sly Fox Phoenix Pale Ales were extremely beneficial to my 90 degree deck party. Thanks me!

Drinking Karnival Kolsch, and I got to say it is PERFECT for this heat! The best kolsch I have had so far.

Don't know the ABV, but I too have been surviving the heat with hefty helpings of Hoegarden. What a fantastic, reasonably priced, delicious, interesting, light, and thirst quenching beer.

This heat is brutal by all means. I would go with SN Summerfest!

Not sure if you get green flash, but rayon vert is a killer hot weather beer. 7% abv, tons of great earthy and lemon flavors with a light touch of brett. Not overpowering, just thirst quenching.

Drinking a Paulaner helles right now. It's not the best helles I've had, but it's definitely a good beer in the heat.
