Speaking of Wisconsin hospitality, that reminds me of a great experience I had years ago. We used to have hunters come through heading out to the Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming, and one of them brought some Spotted Cow with him. After that first trip, he came back a couple months later and brought me a whole case. Always stuck with me. There is something special about how people from Wisconsin share their beer.
2020 was a very active year and we saw some spikes around the beer fests in cybersace and beer boxes. But the biggest years were 2015/16 due to the old app, beer fests, mag, and booming popularity of craft beer in general. Activity has slowly declined since, however, in 2025 things started to stabilize and then increase.
Those beer fests in Cyberspace were great. Nice break from the monotony of that time. Good community atmosphere.
As many bars/restaurants/liquor store owners/managers have told me down through the last decade or more, the fact that, 'Dumcrapped' does not pro-rate their cost to become a verified venue based on number of taps offered for bars, square-footage/selection for liquor stores, etc. and simply charges each venue the same price, whether or not a bar has 12 taps or 50, a liquor store is a mom-&-pop small establishment or a huge, Total-Old-Ass-Beer store is the single most reason they laugh when a 'Dumcrapped' rep calls them up & wants them to subscribe to a verified venue membership. Also, as I've informed many new local/area/regional breweries for the last 5-6 years, only subscribe to 'Dumcrapped' as a verfied venue to get your name out there for the first one or two years and then drop 'em like a hot rock. You don't need 'em & the 'Dumcrapped' ratings/stars mean nothing compared to BA or Craft Beer and Brewing ratings!
