Increased Drunkeness Means Less Taste?

    I wouldn't say that necessarily, but you might not remember it as well (or at all) which can suck especially if you spent good money on it. I guess its not a big deal for me because I drink for taste AND inebriation. In other words, I'm a binge drinker who hasn't fully converted into a full blown connoisseur. I got drunk frequently off liquor and light beer/macro/imports for years, got introduced to craft beer and kind of got stuck in the middle. So whenever I drink, I plan on at the very least getting a strong buzz.

    Its easy to plan for by yourself or with friends at a regular get together: Drink the really good stuff first then work your way down to something that's good, but not expensive, rare and something you've had before. However, complications arise when you're having a tasting/session or at a craft beer festival, where the whole point is trying many different kinds of beer.

    I have the same issue, that's why I drink the special beer(s) first, then move to the commonly available beers after.
