How about a Wednesday, arriving at 11:30? Got to be in Bangor by 7.

Abner and Everett for me. Susan and Enlightenment were well crafted but didn't knock my socks off.

Abner is amazing, but don't sleep on Walden. It really is fantastic. Plus, won't weigh your stomach down to make room for all your grilled cheese sammies.

Wednesday is the first day on the shelf. It'll be there Friday.

Have you ever had HF beers before? Everett & Edward are Shaun's most awesome year round offerings that need to be enjoyed by all!

Out of the beers listed I would also add Walden and What is Enlightenment. Abner is great, I just like the others better.

Personally, I'd fill 2 with Abner, 2 with Susan and one with Enlightenment (which is insanely good but I've had about 5 times in the past month). Really recommend you take the small amount of time and do a tasting to determine which ones suit your palate best.

Honesty, a few of the 750s really wouldn't take up that much space. Abner is a definite but Susan and What is Enlightenment are excellent in their own unique way. Get at least those three, and Walden and Edward if you've got the space.

Bring lots of cash... and leave it all at Hill Farmstead... that is where your road to enlightenment begins.

...if you're not enlightened by Bangor, the Phish tour should help.

Sad to say, but that might be cutting it close. It's 5 hours to Bangor, and if you're in line for 2 hours (which could easily happen), you'll miss all tailgating and possibly some of the show if you're there longer and/or hit traffic.

Speaking from personal experience (lived in Bangor for 22 years), it's a long drive from Waterbury/Montpelier/HF to Bangor. The good thing is you won't hit much traffic unless there's an accident along the way. If you're at HF at 11:30 waiting in line, you should be out of there by 1-2pm unless there's a crazy amount of people waiting. Normally on a Wednesday it's not terrible, but with the holiday weekend it could be nuts.

When you're in Bangor check out Geaghan Bros Brewing. It's a restaurant that's been there since the 70s, but they started brewing about a year and a half ago. Good beers and it's pretty close to the concert venue. They have 32 and 64oz growlers of most brews available. You should also check out Nocturnem - right down the street from the venue as well. Looks like they're having an Oxbow event on the 3rd, and I would highly recommend trying some of their brews.

Abner is probably my favorite beer on this dear Earth.
