I'm currently stepping up my starter for an American wheat beer to be brewed on Friday: 2-row, wheat, light crystal and/or Carapils, Glacier, Belma, and Amarillo hops, Wy1056.

Anybody else doing the brew thing this upcoming holiday or weekend?

    Cheers!

I have to bottle a Belgian pale ale, and brew one of the following; Belgian dark strong, saison or a hefeweisen.

No berwing over here. Trying to kill off the remainder of a keg or two. I have a hopbursted APA which justp assed a week in the primary, I am hoping to drink that one on July 27th for a BBQ.

I will be checking in on a Kolsch I had brewed which was tasting great until it formed a nice pellicle, I will try to salvage the beer if it is anything other than acetobacter, so far it is too soon to taste what it is that infected it. My guess is Brett, though the pellicle looks a little like some Lacto pellicles I have seen in the past.

No brewing, might try to bottle my 100% yogurt fermented Berlinerweisse with some Brett @ bottling if I find time around camping. Probably check on my 2 lagers to see where they are at with 2 weeks in the fermenters.

Brewing 11 gallon batch of Blonde Ale for summer consumption and due to the fact I cannot keep enough of this stuff on tap. Overnight mash of 100% Rahr Pale Ale Malt and 4 oz of Crystal, 2 oz at 45 minutes and then an ounce each at 10 and 0. Repithcing a slug of US-05. If I pitch low enough it turns out suprisingly lagerish with a nice clean malt backbone and some mild grassy and spicy hop flavor. This is a grain to glass beer of about 3 weeks. OG 1.044 17 IBU.

I'm going to get at least one batch in, if not two. I have four days off, and I can do school work while I brew. Got the yeast built up for another batch of elderberry wheat, and will likely make some sort of smash if I get to a second batch (mainly due to laziness and the fact I haven't prepared any specific recipes for the occasion). I might re-make my munich/bravo smash, because it was so good, it's so easy, and I wouldn't have to open any new bags of hops. However, I also might make the citra smash we talked about a few weeks ago. I'll do it on a whim; when I get to the LHBS to buy the grains is when I'll decide.

Racking a sour (Barleywine & Mild Blend with Dark Candi and Lyles Golden syrup soured with with BugFarm VI, Roselare and Lambic Blend) off the yeast cake into a 3 gallon better bottle for aging. Have 10 lbs of fresh peaches frozen and ready to go if I feel like racking onto peaches.

Cleaning my kegs, putting my new brewing shed together and organizing the brew house after a move 2 weeks ago. Once this is all in place I might get a chance to brew in a couple weeks.

Kegging a Belgian Dubbel and brewing a saison on Friday. For the saison, 5 gallons are getting 3711 yeast and the other 5 are getting 3724. One of them is hopefully going with me to the brew fest in Plainfield at the end of August if our club gets in the Homebrew tent.

I had planned on brewing last Sunday and being a consumer on the 4th, but that got blown away. So now I'm brewing a kolsch on the 4th and drinking soda all weekend. Whee. But hey, at least I finally get to try the kolsch malt. I'd heard it's just a snade too dark on its own, so I'm going with a roughly 55-45 mix of pils to kolsch, using WY2565, and hopping with Smaragd.

If they're frozen, then they're not ready to go...:stuck_out_tongue:

Milled grain and measured out my water to dechlorinate overnight...brewing a Farmhouse IPA tomorrow with my wild house yeast culture.

Also brewing this coming Tuesday with a fellow BA...we're splitting the cost of ingredients and brewing a session IPA SMaSH recipe with 2 row and Mosaic and again the house yeast blend...
