    it's decent.
not close to being tart enough, or even doughy. very tame effort.

And here I was thinking that it's easily the most tart of the ones available here.

It's definitely tart as long as you're not comparing it to something that is overtly acetic like Westbrook gose or FT yo soy

i tend to base berlinners as either traditional or american style.
this blurred the line. not enough of either.

This is the best of the Austin "German sours" thus far. It definitely is the most tart. Although that Live Oak BW is so good as well.

I have not had the pleasure of trying the Live Oak BW but I definitely look forward to it.

Its definitely not as tart as Indy's. They both are really great. Just a matter of preference. I found LO's to be more traditional.

Live Oak doing more traditional German beer? Shocked.

What would be the most authentic Berliner? I've only had Bayerischer Bahnhof, and that was quite bitter and not so tart.

From what I've read on BA (mostly Ron P's comments), we don't really get any authentic imported Berliners here. 1809 is ok, but it's expensive, higher abv, and (most of the time) not too tart either (though IIRC, more tart than the Bahnhof version).

Generally, a good benchmark for traditional when we don't have the beer in question is just "doesn't have all the flavors and ABV turned up to 11".

Is the Cucumber version an Austin only thing? Anyone seen this in Houston? Must find this!

I am guessing it will go fairly wide, but was just released in Austin last week. Give it time.
